Please note: This design of dress tapers slightly at the waist. The waist is 2" smaller than the chest size stated in the table above. E.G A dress age 11-12 with a chest size of 33" will have a 31" waist. A dress with a 36" chest will have a 34" waist etc. It may be easier to size the dress you need based on the waist size of your child.

If the chest size that you need means that the dress will be too long, then why not add an alteration to your gingham dress to ensure that you get a good fit your your child.
