Measuring Guide
Here at Sturdy Kids we are proud to be able to offer our trousers in a multitude of designs, colours and lengths. We employ professional seamstresses to alter your trousers to the length that you require, saving you the hassle of making your own alterations. All items that can be altered have a drop down box where you can select your required leg length. The leg lengths available are those appropriate to the design of the garment. Should you wish to have your trousers altered to a non standard leg length, then
please note that your item will be non returnable so we do advise you to measure carefully.
Shopping by age of size?Some items state the manufacturers size by age. However, we would recommend that you measure your child before ordering and buy against their measurements and not by their age. Some children need a size up or down from their own ages so it is always best to work with their actual measurements.

Boys & Girls
If you are measuring an existing pair of trousers, button them up and lay them flat on a table or floor. Take care to pull any wrinkles or fullness from the back panels.
Waist Measurement A-B: Measure from one side of the garment to the other, A to B. The total distance of this measurement, multiplies by 2 is the waist measurement.
Hip Measurement C-D: To get the Hip measurement, do the same, measuring across C to D
Inside Leg Measurement E-F:To get the inside leg measurement, measure from the inside of the crutch to the base of the hem, or where you want your child's trousers to finish, E to F.
Waist & Seat depth measurement:For the waist depth, please measure from the top of the waist band to the crotch seam. Do this at the back of the trousers to get your seat depth measurement.

Measuring guide for Skirts
Skirts are measured from the top of the waist band to the bottom of the skirt. To measure the waist that you require, please follow the guide as per measuring for a trouser waist.
